Natural and organic rubber latex is traditionally transformed into sheet form during cautious coagulation and subsequent milling procedure on two roll mills. There are numerous types of sheet rubbers specifically Ribbed smoked sheet rubber, Air-dried sheet tuber and sun-dried sheet rubber dependent on the drying methodology employed. In between them, Ribbed Smoked Sheet (RSS) has been the biggest form of raw rubber manufactured in Sri Lanka and Kerala. Actually total amount of this quality of rubber is manufactured by small and medium scale rubber growers who own under Ten acres and between 10-50 acres respectively, scattered in the rubber developing districts in the nation. This is basically because of the simplicity and low price of the processing equipment, quickly adoptable processing technology, and the viability of the producing method with any quantity of latex.
